As consumers and brands worldwide increasingly scrutinize the credibility of the sunscreen efficacy testing processes behind SPF and UVA Protection values, independent assessment by internationally recognized organizations has become a key benchmark for verifying the accuracy and reproducibility of test results.

As a Cosmetic Science laboratory providing efficacy testing services for cosmetic products, International Laboratories Corp., Ltd. (ILC) achieved the top rating of “Satisfactory” — the highest level in BIPEA’s three-tier assessment system — confirming the accuracy and reliability of International Laboratories Corp., Ltd.’s sunscreen testing results at an international level. This was achieved for ISO 24443 for two consecutive years, and most recently for ISO 23675:2024 in the world’s first PT round ever conducted for this new in vitro SPF standard. ILC’s participation from the very first round and its top-rated performance demonstrates the laboratory’s readiness to adopt the latest international standards immediately upon their introduction. BIPEA is an organization accredited under ISO 17043, the international standard specifically governing Proficiency Testing (PT) providers.
